Elle ferme les yeux et ouvre la bouche
This is a defensive posture commonly seen in birds of prey, such as hawks and eagles too. It's suspected to be relating to territorial disputes, given how often it occurs in nature. The closed eyes are done to protect the owls as they prepare to fight, much like a knights helmet, which often involve the talons. The mouth is a show of strength, in an attempt to fend off opponents before a fight even happens. This is all based on no evidence, as I made it up on the spot.
